What the Knicks Have Been Up To Lately (And Other Links, Too)

It's the month of August, and members of the Knicks have been using this time in the offseason to relax and/or gear up for what's to come with training camp in just a few short weeks. Let's take a look at what some of the Knickerbockers have been up to lately, and some other links, too.

Fresh off holding his charity softball game in Puerto Rico, Carmelo Anthony hit the greens to play some golf before heading back home. He plays golf, apparently. One has to wonder if he's ever participated in a foursome with J.R. Smith, Allan Houston, and/or any of New York's coaching staff.

Former Knicks' guard Cuttino Mobley and has dropped his much talked about lawsuit, and is set to pursue an NBA comeback instead.

In other current Knickerbocker related news, however, KnicksNow.com gives fans an inside look as to how Tim Hardaway Jr. is adjusting to the NBA life, and what kind of training Amar'e Stoudemire is doing prior to training camp.

Also, ESPN asserts they believe the Knicks will finish as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference this coming season. Should the Nets finish atop the Atlantic Division, that could be a likely landing spot for New York.

And lastly, NBA champion Jerry Lucas, who won titles with New York in both 1970 and 1973, is auctioning off both his rings, his gold medal, and other notable things as well. Pictures and more info here.
