New Podcast With Phife Dawg: Can Knicks Bounce Back and Beat Pacers?

The Knicks took care of business in the regular season with ease. After earning fifty plus victories, the second seed in the Eastern Conference, and an Atlantic Division title, New York looked poised to continue its success in the postseason.

Though the Knicks recently won their first playoffs series in thirteen years, they only did so by sneaking past a Celtics team that wasn’t expected to put up as much of a fight. Now down 1-0 in the semi-finals against the Pacers, the Knicks will look to stop the bleeding, and do it quickly. Should their stagnant offense and recent feeble efforts be a cause for concern?

Returning for another edition of the Podcast, Keith Schlosser and Phife Dawg of “A Tribe Called Quest” discuss what New York did wrong to allow Boston to prolong its first round series, and also what helped Indiana take game one.

After doing a poor job of protecting home-court, the Knicks have dug themselves a bit of a small hole. The duo goes on to address what they believe the team needs to do in order to regain their composure and take control of the series.

It’s all about making the right adjustments. Whose responsibility is it on the Knicks to implement such changes? Does the blame for their game one loss fall on the shoulders of Carmelo Anthony, Coach Mike Woodson, J.R. Smith, or someone else?

Listen in as Schlosser and Phife suggest ways for the likes of Pablo Prigioni and Iman Shumpert to get more involved. How does the rapper feel Amar’e Stoudemire can help the Knicks upon a rumored game three return? It’s not how you’d expect.

And as a little added bonus, find out what Phife was up to last month at the University of North Carolina. For some great basketball debate, some potential Knickerbocker playoff solutions, and more, check out the latest Podcast.
