Rather than put an end to all of the speculation, Chris Paul merely added fuel to the fire, as his agent reportedly provided the Hornets with the news that CP3 will in fact not sign an extension, and desires to be traded to the Knicks instead.
Rumors regarding Carmelo Anthony eventually donning orange and blue swirled around him and the Knicks for months leading up to the actual trade, so expect this season (and Paul’s situation) to not be any different. The fact that Paul actually requested a trade to New York, as opposed to Anthony, is sure to cause fans to salivate over his potential arrival for quite some time.
In the meantime, though, ‘Melo, Amar’e Stoudemire, and the rest of the Knicks are looking forward to a (not so) full season together to make strides towards becoming a legitimate contender.
Just like last season, the upcoming campaign is sure to deliver some exciting, heart-pounding moments in New York.
The MSG Network does a nice job amping up much of the hype, and that’s largely in part due to Ryan Watson, who not only is a producer for the network, but is also the man behind ‘Melo’s “Coming Home” promo, as well as the one highlighting Landry Fields’ rookie stardom last season.
He truly did some great work last season, and with the NBA season finally in sight, Watson’s returned with another clever promo with a peak at what’s ahead for the new-look Knickerbockers. Take a look below at his latest creation featuring an R&B classic, and be sure to follow his work all season long.
