Knicks Play Softball In Puero Rico During “A Very Melo Weekend”

Knicks star Carmelo Anthony and his charity traveled to Puerto Rico for the third time in as many years to unveil his third remodeled and rebuilt basketball court in the U.S. territory.

The two additional courts the forward has helped revamp in the past are currently used by minor league players and over 350 children, according to the New York Post.

With his charity calling this weekend “A Very Melo Weekend,” Anthony also hosted a free-admission celebrity softball game.

A select few of his teammates also joined Anthony to play in the friendly competition on the sunny Saturday. Knicks’ players Amar’e Stoudemire, Raymond Felton, and Marcus Camby were all in attendance, as were Timberwolves guard J.J. Barea, Yankees’ great Bernie Williams, and rapper/Knicks fan Fat Joe.

The rapper served as an inside source of sorts for fans, posting a couple of photos from the game on his Twitter account. Take a look below for more.
